#74 Vent Panel Repairs - part 2

 I removed the rusty bits of tin that RO Performance had welded and this is is what it was like underneath.  No attempt to clean up rust simply tack weld some offcuts over the rust and that was it. Professional ???? I paid for this 'work' !


And here is the same area after I repaired it.


 The entire outer sill that I paid them to fit had to be removed to clean and protect the bare steel, do extra welding at the top of the vent panel and some strengthening near the front jacking point that RO has just tacked a postage stamp piece of metal on and left fresh air to hold the rest together.





I had to cut out part of the hinge pillar repair (that they fitted) to repair things properly. And as you can see fresh air is no longer being used as a jointing material.
